New Chrome Profile Switcher

Hey everyone. Some of you may be like me and have multiple profiles setup in Google Chrome (to allow access to personal accounts, faith account, etc.). You may have noticed that recently, Google changed the way you switch between these profiles...and it was NOT a good switch. Instead of the friendly little avatars for various profiles, you now see the name of the this . To switch, you click on your profile name, select Switch Person, locate the desired account, and click...this is way too slow!

Well, there is a fix. To get back to a faster way of switching profiles in Chrome, do the following:
  1. Open Chrome
  2. Open a new tab, type chrome://flags and press enter
  3. Locate Enable fast user switching in the avatar menu (either by doing a search on the page, or scrolling about halfway down)
  4. Set this to ENABLED
  5. Quit Chrome and relaunch
Now, when you click the your profile button at the top, you will see a list of available profiles and can quickly switch to or open another profile.

If you have multiple Chrome windows open, each with a different Profile in it, pressing ALT+` (PC) or COMMAND+` (Mac) will quickly toggle you through all your open Chromes / Profiles.
