Open up Chrome and navigate to this URL: http://mandel-design.xf.cz/Chrome-Youtube-Downloader/

Click the link in the grey box to download Ver. 2.6.19 Download Now!

Just click the X in the upper right corner.

Right-click on the Chrome-YouTube-Downloader... file and select Extract.

Click Extract to continue...

For some reason, the person who packaged the downloader put it inside two ZIP files. That's why you need to do this a second time.

This will show you the chrome-youtube-downloader-2.6.19.crx file. NOTE: Depending on your configuration, you may not see the CRX extension. But there is only one file and it's "icon" will look like a blank sheet of paper and under the TYPE column, it should say CRX.

Click the 3 horizontal bars in the upper right corner and select Settings

In Chrome's settings, there are three sections: History, Extensions, and Settings. Click on Extensions.

Position Windows Explorer so that it is a smaller window in front of Chrome (which should be displaying the Extensions area of Chrome's settings).

Drag-n-drop the chrome-youtube-downloader-2.6.19 into the Chrome window as displayed above and let go.

When prompted to confirm the New Extension, click Add.

A new Chrome tab will appear and you should see a yellow bar indicating that the Chrome YouTube Downloader is now installed.

If you now navigate to YouTube and locate a video, you "should" now see a "Download" button below your video, allowing you to download the video in one of several formats. NOTE: MP4 or FLV are recommeded formats.

NOTE: Not all videos in YouTube may be downloaded.
